South Africa & Democratic Republic of Congo - Church planting and radio ministry & Bible School

Greetings from South Africa,

We as a church have been able to date to hand out over 9000 John and Romans. We have hand delivered to our own community, and the surrounding communities.  A group of our young adults handed out over 3000 in one of the malls and a gain at the taxi ranks in a city near us Alberton.

We had a wonderful father’s day breakfast.  One of our faithful teen’s, father came to the breakfast and returned again on Sunday morning for church.  Our young adults once again did a really nice job with the service.  Big thanks to them for all the hard work they put into making the morning a blessing.  That morning we were without electricity for about nine hours.  It finally came on just in time for tea time after church. 

Praise the Lord for our KYB, (VBS) “Know Your Bible Club”.   Monday we started with 80 children and had a high during the week of 180 children.  I believe we had over 30 decisions for salvation and dedication. Pray for us as we follow up with these decisions and try and encourage the children for Sunday school and out junior programs.

Our monthly ladies’ meeting was held at our home on the 8^th July 2010.  We had a nice group of around 10 ladies with one of our own ladies Lina, sharing from God’s word. 

We are gearing up for Youth Explosion this coming Monday to Friday, the 5th – 9^th July.  This outreach is for our youth.  Actually it is in progress, do pray for us.

Our monthly men’s meeting will be on the 17^th July. We will be embarking on a study on character.

School will be back 13^th July,  which means  we will be starting our junior youth programs, Kids in Action and Royal Challengers (Grd 5-7)  We have been having between 25 and 35 kids.  Pray for their faithfulness in attendance and Bible quiet times and memorization.

We were able to purchase a vehicle for the church, I working on getting it reach for roadworthy test so we can do the change of ownership, pray that we will be able to put it to good use.
