Dear family and Friends,
“I’m so glad I’m a part of
the Family of God!”
To say the least, April and
May were whirlwind of months. We
travelled about 32000 Km. Johannesburg, to Atlanta, USA, to Minneapolis, then to
Greensboro NC, to Atlanta, back to Johannesburg.
We were away from our church and children for about 4 weeks, and we thank
the Lord for his protection as we were apart, and for family and church family
that took care of them while we were away!!
Family
Esther and I decided it was
a good time to take Wyla back to the US, to visit family. Doctor said that Wyla
was physically fit to make the trip, and so we spent two weeks in Minneapolis,
MN. Wyla has two older sisters;
Wanda, and Deloris and a brother Richard who live in and around Minneapolis. It
was a time of mixed feelings as Wyla did not fully comprehend it all, but we did
enjoy getting to see and be with family.
We then spent ten days in Greensboro, NC catching up with friends and
folks at Independent Faith Mission. Esther was able to visit a couple of her
friends from Bible College days too.
Another blessing on our return was that our church arranged for a
mid-week holiday for us in order to have some “alone” family time.
Thank you!
How you can pray:
·
Praise that Wyla was
able to see and visit with family.
For her good health.
·
Praise for the
continued prayer and financial support of Nsango Na Bomoi and Wyla.
·
Pray for us in our
“care giving” ministry to Wyla.
i.e. wisdom, patience, adapting
·
Pray for the
home-schooling of the children, and their spiritual growth
·
Winnie’s visa
application is still in the offices and we continue to pray that all will be
well, as she is such an asset and help to Esther in the home.
The Lord’s direction in her life and spiritual growth.
South
Africa ministry
Our young adults and teens
did an excellent job with the “The Six Who Died” drama, on Friday night, April 2nd
and we had 115 come out to see the
play. Sunday night, April 4th
again we had about 100 in attendance.
This was the result of the Lord using the hard work of our church people
inviting and handing out flyers in the community. The “cherry on the top”, was
that we had 5 professions of faith, one being that of a lady who has been
attending services with her family for a while now.
Her son, who is faithful to our junior
youth outreach, asked her, “If you died mom, where will you go..?” That Sunday
night she made a profession of faith. Do
pray for Vanessa and her family to grow in the Lord, as well as the other 4
decisions made.
How you can pray:
·
For our young
people, that they will grow in God’s grace and they will stand strong in this
wicked world.
·
For fruit from the
missions trip-the drama team, and opportunity to do it again.
·
Praise we have been
able to buy a vehicle for the church.
We made mention of the need of
a vehicle for transporting folks to and from church.
The Lord brought in some love gifts that aided in this purchase.
It is now in the repair shop in order to get it in full operation.
·
For our spiritual
fortitude as we work in these ministries.
·
Children ministries.
Sunday School, Kids in Action - Grd
1-4; Royal Challengers Grd 5-7.
·
Youth Ministry
·
Young Adults
·
For strong
marriages, and entire families in our church.
In Christ,
Robert, Esther, Joshua,
Cherith, Jordan, Jeremy, Chelsea, Chaylee, Winnie and Wyla (Grandma Grings)
